As an anionic surfactant sodium heavy alkylbenzenesulfonate, it can reduce the oil-water interface tension and increase recovery rates of tertiary oils. This surfactant is used for oilfield flooding. The degreasing, decontamination and detergent properties of sodium heavy alkylbenzenesulfonate make it a useful degreasing or decontamination agent. The Sodium Heavy Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate is also a highly efficient emulsifying agent. Combining this product with other additives will produce emulsified cutting oils and other emulsified lubricants. Useful in printing and dyeing as well, rubber, building materials, textiles, and rubber. Also used to make anti-rust oils, emulsified oils, and co-solvents.
