How does Telluride Copper CopperCuTe Powder be made?
These steps are part of a preparation process for copper tellurium alloys:
1. After mixing high-purity copper and high purity tellurium according the required ratios, or after creating layers of high pure copper and high quality tellurium respectively, they are put in a graphitecrucible. The graphitecrucible is then sealed, after which the protective gas in the graphitecrucible has been replaced with air.
2. The graphite crucible can be placed in a synth furnace. After it is closed, the oxygen from the furnace chamber is transferred into the protective gases.
3. To ensure that the furnace is at 1.04.5MPa, add protective gas. At the same moment, heat in the furnace will increase from normal within 6090min up to 12001450. The temperature of the furnace will then drop after 24h.
4. After the temperature has been lowered to less 100F, the protective gas is removed from the synthesis oven to bring the pressure to normal. Finally, the furnace can be opened for the production of copper tellurium alloy ingot.
